I am going to share what we have been doing in Hur3 -writing and science. We have been making simple sentences into complex sentences. How we make simple sentences into complex sentences is by adding more details to a sentences like "The dog ate".

The dog ate.
The dog ate happly.
The dog ate happly in the morning.
The dog ate happly in the morning in his new dog house.
The dog ate happly and Energeticly in the morning in his new dog house.
I made another one this is it
I ran away.
I ran away quickly.
I ran away quickly at 3pm.
I ran away quickly at 3pm by the school.
I ran away quickly at 3pm by the school cowardly.
