Don't Tell But Show!

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog,

I'm going to talk about my hotspot work. In hotspot we have been learning to show and not to tell. The difference between tell and show is that tell is like this: I was late so I run to school. And show is like this: The clock said that it was "8:30 am"I put on bag then put the pancake in my mouth and run to school. Anyways we have been making telling sentence into showing sentence.

Like this.

SHOW
Don’t Tell
Brian pursed his lips and clenched his fists into tight balls. Try as he might he could not contain himself. Within seconds he erupted like a volcano.
Brian was angry. He started to yell.
An ache started deep in his stomach. He turned away as his eyes welled up with tears.
Johnny felt sad.
Bailey was excited that he was having a hard time walking and not running.
Bailey was happy.
Jeremy was petrified in shock and he’s mouth was so wide open that it looked like it was in a cartoon.

Jeremy was shocked.
Tama couldn't wait any longer to go to the match that he started running to where the game was.
Tama was excited by the rugby match he was playing in that afternoon.

Can you send me your best showing sentence? Also can you give me feedback? Also think you for looking on my blog.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Helpful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
